Dick, thanks for commenting. It was the gunk buildup that kept the arms from retracting. The rollers worked fine once cleaned. The stock comments was good as well. I'll keep this in mind.

Thanks Dennis. I am doing this today with a second set of pulleys...dramatically slower. And thanks for reading and responding.

HI
YOU MIGHT LIKE TO SLOW YOUR PRESS DOWN A LITTLE! I WAS WORRIED THAT YOU WERE FEEDING AS THE PRESS HAD COMMENCED ITS CLOSE ACTION. IDEALLY, FOR SAFETY, HAVE FEEDING DONE ON THE OPENING CYCLE. I was a bit worried for you. I've been a printer since the 60's and still got five on each hand!!
Good luck though- and the press looks beautiful too!

Dave, some c&p's have a pin that goes thru the saddles to keep the rollers from popping out, also never have a lot of stock on your feed table, my first press i walked away for a minute and the paper on the feed table fell into the press and broke the corner off the platen, not good. I've owned c&p's for almost 50 years, i run a one man letterpress shop from my garage at home, i can't get enough of it, if i can help you with anything let me know. Dick G.

You made some sensible points there. I did a probe on the subject and found most folks will agree together with your blog.

I would appreciate more visual materials, to make your blog more attractive, but your writing style really compensates it. But there is always place for improvement

Hi, David! Loved your blog and your insightful analogy with networking and the Mars and Venus concept. I don't like to stereotype folks yet there is validity in what Dr. Gray points out. Many men have a difficult time putting their heart on their sleeve, and we are creatures of feeling after all, aren't we? I applaud your efforts and to all, men and women alike, who get out of their comfort zones and network!

Thanks for your comments Lorna. I disagree with many of Dr. Gray's definitions as well because I have many of the traits he ascribes to women. And of course, I write from an owl and lamb perspective!
